Hi,

Unfortunately, it looks like the first attempt at payouts today failed, most likely because the bitcoin network is overloaded. We can't issue payouts until our money is received from exchanges, and they are facing the same overload issues as everyone else. Currently, there are over half a gigabyte of transactions waiting to be processed on the bitcoin network because of the limited blocksize.

This is the new normal. If you care about the survival of the bitcoin network, switch to Bitcoin Unlimited and send E-Mails and support tickets to SHA-256 mining pools requesting that they switch as well. Bitcoin is now unusable and the coin is going to go down in flames unless a fork occurs as soon as possible.

Payouts will automatically try again in a few hours to see if the network has processed our transactions.

We strive to issue payouts as soon as possible, but I think that I need to draw attention to the part of the documentation that lays out the timetable for payouts. Per the documentation, we don't promise any specific payout time, only that payouts will be issued during the next day.

The reason we don't promise a specific time is because there are a lot of factors involved, like how overloaded the bitcoin network is, how fast exchanges process withdrawals, whether blocks are unconfirmed, whether a specific daemon needs maintenance, and so on. There are often issues that come up like the "Dirty COW" exploit that are a huge risk that require immediate attention.

We definitely want to get payouts out as early in the day as possible, but we won't always be able to do that. We do promise, though, to issue them within 24 hours. In cases where there are issues, we often grant miners credit, like when we provided 20 minutes of free mining yesterday.

Can you please explain what is a Dirty Cow? Thanks

The dirty COW exploit allows regular users to gain root access to a Linux server. It was disclosed last week, and patches were released about a week ago. This exploit would be a huge problem for us because the exploit would allow someone to program a coin that could take over our server and empty the wallets of all coins (or even worse). It needed to be patched ASAP.

Yes. The wallet.dat files of both Core and Unlimited are compatible.

The difference between the two programs is what will happen when there is a majority of BItcoin Unlimited hashpower. The Unlimited nodes will allow larger blocks, and the Core nodes won't. Until that fork occurs, running an Unlimited node shows support for larger blocksizes without any other effect.
