Greetings! Here's a status update to begin the week:
- This weekend saw continued work on multiple algorithms. The implementation in the mining server is finished, and I'm now into debugging. I fixed about 25 bugs yesterday. I hope to get a working version of the mining server finished by Thanksgiving. Then, I'll be able to move onto the website, get it done by Christmas, and Chris will be able to set up more servers for the X11 and Ethereum (and SHA-256, if Bitcoin Unlimited is accepted) coins during the holiday week.
- Thanks for all the feature requests recently. We are recording all of them and plan to implement most after we merge the multiple algorithm fork back into our codebase. Now that the scrypt branch is stable and can handle at least 500GH/s, we want to avoid merge overhead and the possibility of creating bugs in the stable code.
- There will be maintenance downtime for the forums on November 21 - a post was put up elsewhere about that.
- Please continue to give comments on the performance of the A4s. So far, it seems like they are performing well with a hashrate decline of 7% compared to litecoin-only pools, whereas we are paying about 60% more than LTC-only pools. Interestingly, LTC has not seen an increase in difficulty recently, so most of the A4s are coming here or are mining other coins.
