Some services to be offline on November 21

Our strategy to make as much profit as possible is to use server-grade components with RAID for critical information, like the share data. For non-critical data that can be restored from the Internet, like coin blockchains, we buy used desktop computers from places like Micro Center and repurpose them as servers.

One of these servers has a hard drive that has proven itself to be too slow, so we will replace it with a solid state disk on November 21. Chris will then take the time to shift around our services so that they can take advantage of the computer's increased capacity.

Beginning around 10am EST on November 21, the forums will be offline for 6-12 hours. The E-Mail system will be offline. The Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, and 4 other coin daemons will also be shut down at that time, which may delay payouts for that day.

Chris expects the maintenance to be completed by the evening. During this time, mining will continue as normal and the main website will be up, but customer service E-Mails won't be received and payouts for those 7 coins may be delayed until the upgrade is complete.

When the upgrade is finished, we expect the forums server to see a significant decrease in response time, and payouts for high-CPU coins like Ethereum and ETC will be much more reliable. Thanks for your patience as we continue to make our system the best it can be!

This is a reminder that November 21 is approaching.

We expect the downtime to begin at 8:00pm EST. The downtime will be intermittent throughout the night. There will be additional downtime as we install yet another server on Wednesday or Friday; the second server will be used for multiple algorithms.
