Prohashing Mining Pool Forums

Big news! PROHASHING is going global! The PROHASHING team is in the process of working toward worldwide expansion! Setting up servers around the globe requires us to also change our mining DNS. Once the change takes place, US customers will need to edit your config files to point toward "us.mining.prohashing.com" and the port of your chosen algorithm instead of "prohashing.com" and the port of your chosen algorithm. The us.mining.prohashing.com domain is active now, so US customers can get a jump on switching over your config files now and be all ready when the switch occurs on Nov. 14. I've updated the GPU and CPU guides with the new US pool URL in the appropriate places if that helps. For example, if you're mining ETHW using Gminer, you would change your config file from to

us.mining.prohashing.com is what I would have to change on Hive but keep the port where it is on the flight sheet?

Yes.

Eventually I’ll be able to get the new URL added to the preset pool templates, but that will be a little bit until we can get a pull request put in and approved for that.

If you are currently using the prohashing.com:[port] mining url and plan to continue using the primary server, please don't forget to update your workers to point them toward us.mining.prohashing.com before November 14. While we haven't nailed down an exact date that the new EU server will be ready, we're anticipating that it will be ready in about a week.

Reminders:
US miners: Switch your workers over to http://us.mining.prohashing.com:[port] before November 14th. It's up and running now. You can just set it and forget it.

EU miners: Switch your workers over to http://eu.mining.prohashing.com:[port] before November 14th. It will automatically point you toward the new one once we have it up and running.

If you are farming Chia and typically use the EU server for other algorithms you DO NOT farm Chia toward the EU server. You will only use the primary (us.mining.prohashing.com) server for this algorithm.
