Merge Mined Coins in PPLNS/Solo

Stupid question that doesn't seem clear in the documentation. What happens to the merge mined coins you pick up in PPLNS/Solo modes? I see that at least in solo for sure, you're credited for them, but how exactly? Do you get the specific coins dumped into that coin's bucket in your ProHashing account until you establish a wallet somewhere to send it to, or does it get paid out among your normal ratios the same way it would in FPPS? I don't want to be giving up coins if it is the former. Thanks for clarifying!

The merge mined coins get paid out in small amounts as if you're mining in FPPS mode, and they are done according to your payout proportions.

So even though I'm mining PPLNS for BTC, I'm still seeing SOME benefit to that mining, even while we wait to find our first block. Excellent. Thanks for the clarification!

That is true for FPPS and PPLS modes..

But I am pretty sure that is not true for SOLO mode. In solo mode you get paid in whatever coin you are mining regardless of your payout settings.

The only thing I am not sure about is the merge mined coins.

If I am static mining Litecoin in solo mode and find Litecoin, I get paid in Litecoins, no matter what is set in the payout settings.

Now if it also happens to find a merge mined coin (e.g. Dogecoin) while in solo mode, well the question is;

Does it also pay out that merge mined in its native coin, or does it convert it to what you have in your Payout settings?

Update:

I believe that I found the answer.

If your static mining a coin (e.g. Litecoin) and you find a Litecoin block, then your reward will be paid in Full (minus the fee) and in the coin mined (this case Litecoin).

Now for the merge mined coin, there are 2 scenerios;

1. You DO NOT find a merge mined coin. You will still see a small payout in the Primary coin (in this case Litecoin) like it does for the FPPS system. This is because the merge mined coin is 'pool' mined, thus the reward every so often, even if you do not personally find any blocks, your part of the merge mined pool.

2. You FIND a merge mined coin (e.g. Dogecoin). You would see a small payout just like in FPPS, because the merge mine coin is mined in a pool and is paid out on a continuous basis in small amount. You WOULD NOT see a full block payout like the primary coin.

So .... even though I have Litecoin set as a static coin and solo mined.

Litecoin - Pays Full block reward (minus fees) in static mined coin, ignoring Payout settings.
Merge mined - Pays out a small reward every so often, just like FPPS mode and in the Primary coin, ignoring the Payout settings. No Full block reward.

Hope this helps and please correct me if I am wrong.

Static mining and solo mining are not necessarily the same thing. You can static mine a coin in FPPS mode (in which case you would still be paid based on your payout proportions, or you can solo mine a coin, in which case you'd be paid in the primary coin. When solo mining, yes, the merge mined coin is paid out in small amounts like in FPPS mode, so you wouldn't receive the larger sum if you find a block, and the small amounts would be paid out in the primary coin (in your example, Litecoin). Does that help?
