posted on the forums about the BRAVE browser. Never heard of that one before mad4mining posted up about it.
Wanted to see what people thought about it.

according to their website info:

How is Brave using BAT?
Removing ads from websites means you are removing a revenue stream for content creators who rely on advertising revenue to keep their content flowing. It’s always been a moral barrier for me when I use Brave or an ad blocking extension, because I enjoy supporting my favorite YouTube channels or Twitch streamers.

I would say its 1 thing to block ads from showing, but seems like another to replace the ads the content creators get paid for with the browsers own ads that they get paid for with you using their software. Replacing ads with your own ads on another owners web content seems like theft to me.
Or plagiarism.

What do other users think about BRAVE browser, paying BAT tokens instead of allowing the content creators original ads to pay them.

A little more info on that is here: https://brave.com/brave-rewards/

According to them, the ads don't get replaced. The special ads from BRAVE are shown in different, less invasive ways. So instead of creators getting money via ads, they can be tipped by the viewers that collected BAT with the special ads from BRAVE if they are registered. While I hate ads, I can see several problems here from the view of a creator. There would be no somewhat fixed amount of money you can plan with, you totally have to rely on tips. If you even know about this project, that is. I wouldn't be too happy.

I'll stick to Adblock, good creators get an exeption, the smart ones already got a sponsor and doing some small advertising themselfes at the beginning or end of their videos.
