Prohashing Mining Pool Forums

I've seen the following with various difficulties whether I'm using dynamic diff or static. What do they mean? Would share of diff not be 4096 also?

Miner did not respond to difficulty change request quickly; share of diff 4095 is too easy for assigned difficulty 4096

This error is equivalent to a stale share. It's normal if you are using dynamic difficulty and we switch the difficulty while at the same time a share of yours is traveling across the internet. However, it shouldn't occur with static difficulty. I will ask Steve and see if he can help explain the cause.
