Requesting feedback on new logo
Prohashing is currently in the process of rebranding, and we're happy to submit a logo suggestion to everyone. This is not the final version (the angles need to be corrected), but we wanted to see what customers thought.
The complimentary color, which is between crimson and magenta, may also be used.
Images are always controversial topics, so feel free to share your praise or criticism!

I think the part on the left looks a little too much like a question mark. Otherwise it looks good.Steve Sokolowski wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 1:05 pm Prohashing is currently in the process of rebranding, and we're happy to submit a logo suggestion to everyone. Yeah, I agree it does look a lot like a question mark.
Completely non-professional here, but what would it look like with the vertical part of the P complete (and maybe thin the hash so it matches the stroke width of the font?)

It's actually a nice logo. My only complain would be that letter "A", it feels weird without the middle bar but there is probably a reason for it i guess.

Digital Silk's designer felt that adding a bar was impossible because the triangle where the white would go was too small.blackmennewstyle wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 10:37 pm It's actually a nice logo. Careful with new logos, TradingView got a huge backlash from community on their new logo, but they reflected and hosted community competition for best logo.

Re: Requesting feedback on new logo
The purpose of this rebranding is because Digital Silk, who we contracted to advise us on marketing, felt that we needed to create a distinct brand identity. They want to limit the number of advertised features to narrow the pool's focus on a specific message (although we will continue to add new features, just not focus the advertising on them.)
They felt that the existing logo is not distinctive enough. First, the orange is the bitcoin orange, which many other sites use, and none of them use the blue or magenta. Second, bitcoin is hardly the only coin anymore, and they don't want customers thinking we are limited to bitcoin mining or payouts. Third, the hash symbol is too generic and that's why they suggested the "P." Our font is also a Microsoft font that's included in Office; they want to create a unique font that will be recognizable as ours.
Re: Requesting feedback on new logo
So if you fill in the P with the blue hash color what would that look like? If you make the P in the text part of prohashing the same style does that make it more obvious that is a P?
