Need some advice for RTX3060

Hello prohashers,
I just sold my firstborn to get a RTX3060 - a beautiful and powerful card, especially compared to my old 1060 6GB. Only problem is, it's rev 2 and those mining lock workaround won't work with that, yet. I'm currently going ETH anyway with ~26MH/s, which is better than before, but not really what the card is capable of.
I saw that Raven would also be good with that card, but it's sadly not available here. Anyone got some advice for what I could go for here on ph where that card would perform a bit better until the lock is history?

You will still get a limitation to you mining even with raven. I have a 3060 with the driver work around and tested raven without the workaround and its still hampered. Best to just use it for Eth as its still the most profitable per MH. Set your power limit to like 60-70% too. Not sure how long it will be until the Gen 2 has a workaround if ever. Hope this helps

Hmm the internet was pretty sure about other algos not being locked, you are the first with that statement as far as my research goes. Got the card down to 102W with efficiency being a bit better than the 1060. Knowing what this card is capable of drives a little tear in my eyes when looking at the ~26MH/s though.

I was using betterhash before i switched to prohashing and they offer Raven if you want to test it thats a good way to.

To get the full hash rate on the 3060 the card has to be in a x16 slot, in addition to using the 470.05 Beta Driver and HDMI dummy plugs. Im able to eek out 49.9 MH/s on my 3060.

No offense but I said that it won't work on this one, it's rev 2 and the 470.05 will not be able to detect that card, no matter what as far as I know and tested. I'm afraid the same will happen with "lolminer", as it needs older drivers to work for those 37MH/s.
Guess I'll sit back and wait for some magic to happen and for someone to also find a workaround for this kind of card. Until then it's a roadtrip with handbreaks on.

I have the same situation as you -Gigabyte RTX3060 2.0- currently sitting at ~27.5 MH/s with 1450MHz Core Clock and 8950Mhz Memory Clock on MSI Afterburner. I'm still relatively new to mining, and can't figure out how to undervolt so it's still running 125W, so I think you're running significantly more efficient than me - any advice on how to get my power settings down?
In the mean time I will also be keeping my fingers crossed that someone figures out a way to unlock the full ETH potential from these cards, or #Prohashing eventually adds other algorithms like Kawpow or Autolykos which are rumored to not have the same throttle restriction (I haven't seen any reviews that confirm/deny this on our specific cards).

Sorry to hear that Maverick, hope they come up with something to unlock the rev 2. Got my 3060 a few weeks ago and so thankful it was actually built many months ago so the 470.05 works for it.
@Zilla1518, you can bring your wattage down by adjusting the Power Limit slider in Afterburner. I have mine at 69% (nice) but it's a fully unlocked one so you may want to start around 65% and tinker with it for best results.

Hello again,
I ran some test with ERGO this week and it looks like the card is pretty good at that with ~110MH/s and no artificial break in sight, too bad it's not available here so back to ETH.
I tried every possible way to install that special driver to no avail. Without that we Rev 2 people are stranded for the moment.

Mine is lhr rev 1. While I was waiting on getting a new mobo with gen 3 16x pcie I ran it on raven. those saying it doesn’t work on rvn are crazy. I was earning around $4.5 a day on raven from that card alone and since then rvn is only down $.002 so you should still make over $4 a day
