Equihash mining fail!

Post by JerryA999 » Wed Apr 07, 2021 9:44 am

Im trying to set up to mine equihash via gpu (Just on my computer for now, with plans to expand at some point)

I managed to have "Success" mining doge - worked although made nothing.

Now changed my settings to equihash worker settings and its not connecting properly and failing. Does anybody know what im doing wrong?
Everything looks as It should when i read the guide but im getting:

Failed to get extranonce1
Stratum subscribe answer id is not correct
JSON-RPC call failed: (Unknown reason)

Any help please?

Regular equihash is dominated by ASICs, I don't recommend to mine equihash with cpu or gpu anymore because the profitability is really low. Equihash 144_5 could be profitable for some GPUs though. I think the equihash 144_5 solver fits in 2 GB so 2 GB cards and up can mine it. Equihash 144_5 miners usually need to specify the -pers string of the coin they're mining, unless the miner program can automatically detect it. For BitcoinGold it's BgoldPoW and for BitcoinZ it's just BitcoinZ.
