Upcoming pause in Monero mining

Next week, Monero will be changing its algorithm from CryptonightR to RandomX, which will require us to write a Python module for this new algorithm because the algorithm is new and no open source code is available.
Unfortunately, because of the upcoming holiday, and because Vance is focused on improving ethash profitability right now, we do not expect to be able to complete this upgrade in time. We decided to focus on improving ethash profitability first because ethash has more miners mining it than does Monero.
Given the unpopularity of Monero mining compared to our other algorithms, we will reevaluate in a week whether to devote time to upgrading to RandomX after ethash improvements have been made. Then, we will decide whether it will be profitable or not to continue offering Monero with the new algorithm.
Thanks for your understanding and you can expect an update on this issue next week!
