After the database server catches up, we're going to try a brief reboot this evening to release some new code that we think will significantly reduce database CPU usage. It should prevent the system from getting behind as easily in the future.
The service interruption should last less than three minutes. In the unlikely case that a problem arises, we should be able to revert in under five minutes.
