Policy change in "coin announcements" forum
Posted: Mon May 21, 2018 12:58 pm
Beginning tomorrow, we will be making a policy change in the "coin announcements" forum, after asking customers.
This forum was originally designed to be used to announce new cryptocurrencies that can be mined or staked, in order to grow the community and try out interesting ideas. However, many of the posts in the forum are now covering ICOs. Unlike coins that are based on their own blockchains, ICOs don't in themselves try out new technology, nor do they present opportunities for our customers to mine them.
The new policy will be that coin announcements may only be for mineable or stakable coins that use their own blockchains. Pre-mined tokens launched through ETH presales don't represent a significant advancement in technology, nor do they present opportunities for our customers, and therefore posts about them will be removed. We apologize for the inconvenience this change may cause, and feel free to offer your comments and suggestions below.
