miners disconnecting

Post by RapidHash » Tue Jun 09, 2015 12:40 pm

Hi guys,

My miners seems to disconnect from the pool or just stop mining very frequently. When i point my 600mh at nicehash, I get very close speed around 550 on average, and no disconnects or stability issues. For some reason i cant keep all my miners working at full speed on your pool and I cant figure out what is wrong. I don't think that it is down to my miners or network coz my miners just switch to backup pool i just don't do any work, like there is no work from the pool but miner is still connected. Please advise as I think about more miners.

Also I sent you an email sometime ago and I dint get any reply. Did you get it?

Cheers,

Are your miners using BFGMiner? If so, then you'll want to check out the "Optimizing BFGminer" section of the help page. That goes double if your 600 mashies is coming from a pair of Titans. The super-short version is that you'll want to use the --failover-only and --scan-time=1 arguments or flags, depending on how you like your config options.

When you answer kires's question, could you also provide what password arguments you are using? I've noticed that some people are being assigned bad work, but it's only very occasionally and we can't figure out what happened. Perhaps you are one of the people.

Hello Chaps,

All my miners are running cgminer and don't have any Titans. I don't use any arguments in password so not sure if changing will help, might give it a go. I have bunch A2 miners from 30-110MH. On nicehash my miners are locked on and I get no issues.

This is my chart for the past few days, gaps in charts is when my miners switch over to backup pool and speed is dropping, at 480 atm.

We performed a lot of system optimization yesterday, which may have resolved the issue. Nevertheless, Steve is going to look into this issue today and see if he can find any cause.

I made a fix to this problem and deployed it a few minutes ago to see if it will resolve the issue. Let me know if the issue is resolved.

I think that there are disconnects occurring because of the way that coins were having errors handled. We now look to disconnect static coin miners from erroneous coins only after processing all error conditions, rather than after each error condition. That means that the system should disconnect users much less frequently.

A lot of improvement on stability :D My miners are staying locked on the pool, no failing to backup pools or drops in hashrate. Keep a good work guys!
