Chris today was able to obtain more bandwidth for the pool simply by calling the provider and asking. They now offer symmetrical connections, so we have 150Mbps upload, compared to the previous 65Mbps. We can get 0.5Gbps for an additional $109.95 if necessary.
I don't think this makes much difference at present, because mining is not a hugely bandwidth-intensive operation, but we'll see how things go as we increase the number of users.
