Feature Request: Convert to Payout proportions

Post by GregoryGHarding » Mon May 14, 2018 7:28 am

with the new bug fix, i, like others now have a small list of currencies i have no address for anymore, i propose a feature that will alow all non proportioned currencies to be converted by the system/automatically traded for the coin payout proportions pre set in settings. this will help clean up orphaned balances and allow coins to be swapped after this bugfix was issues the other day.

I'd love to do this, but we'd have to talk to the lawyer about whether doing so would be a violation of money transmission laws. I don't know the answer to that question myself.

My thought is that we couldn't legally respond to individual users' requests to perform exchanges, but we would initiate a blanket change across the whole system because then no specific user would have requested it. The problem is that while your balances are dust, there are some customers that have new balances of 2.2 ETH in erroneous transaction fees. These customers probably want to retain the coins they were credited.
