Prohashing Mining Pool Forums

Gentlemen,
I seem to be getting quite a lot of Pool 0 is issuing work for an old block messages. I am using BFG miner 5.1/64 bit with zeusminer.
On other pools I do not seem to have the issue.
Any Idea's ?

Is this happening right when you're starting up? If so, you'll get six of these stale blocks before you start mining useful work. It should only last 30s or less.

The purpose of this is to test your miner so that it can be assigned the coins that are most profitable for it. If this is happening later during mining, let me know and I'll take a look.

Thanks for the report. I'll look into this. I noticed that something was odd about your miners earlier, but didn't know what - these logs will help a lot.

I'll get back to you as soon as I know more.

Could you try now and see if there is a problem connecting?

If there is, could you turn on debug mode and copy what you see? In cgminer at least, I know that there are several debug modes that print out a lot of information. If you could turn on as much debug information as you can, that would be great.

The solution to this is to make sure longpolling is enabled, and scan time should be 1. Even so, you will get these from time to time by virtue of the quick coin switches ProHashing does. Your rig with ZEUS ASICs should be pretty good about switching coins pretty quickly though.

I'm going to create a task in our bug system to create a page with a listing of all these tips for bfgminer users. Thanks to your help, future users will probably find it a lot easier to set things up. Thanks again for figuring this one out!
