what is Payout eligible ? and why it is different from balance ?

It is the minimum amount you can get paid but this will result in fees. The default is the minimum amount you can get paid without incurring fees.
Your balance shows the total amount you have gained in that specific currency.

The current balance is what you have earned since server midnight the previous day.

Each night at 12:00 midnight New York USA timezone, what you have earned for the past 24 hours is checked, confirmed and then added to the payout eligible total. With the new day's value added to the payout eligible, that value is now checked vs the minimal threshold of your payout coin and the network minimums, IF the eligible passes both those checkmarks, it flags your account to get a payout in the next 24 hours.


IF you make $3 dollars a day, and there is a minimum payout threshold of $10 on BTC....then you will have to mine for 4 DAYS.

At the end of the 4th day, the 9 dollars from the 3 previous is added to that days $3 total and the eligible pops up to $12.
$12 being over the $10 limit triggers a checkbox and a message that within the next 24 hours I'll get my payout from that $12.

So the payout coin depends on what the minimal threshold is and how much you need to earn before you get a payout.

If you are over all the thresholds(like ripple was jacked up and the numbers out of sync so no payout ever happened)and still haven't gotten a payout in a day or two, sometimes the value keeps resetting instead of paying, in THAT case you need to put in a ticket. But you usually should wait 48 hours to make sure it all went through then put in a ticket. With the recent upgrades to the system, the ticket system is also backed up. It should be cleared shortly, just hang in there. If it takes too many days to get a BTC payout....swap to Litecoins and get one daily.

Like CSZiggy says except for BTC payments which are made daily and some specific coins get paid out regardless of whether they have his the threshold.

In theory works well is you have a tax position where not receiving the mined amount delays the tax due to a period where you are earning less money. If you are in this lucky position, you can set up multiple accounts and point your miners to them individually.
