All services to be offline on Friday, April 6; mining outage Thursday

Chris received confirmation that Comcast will be activating the new Internet connection on Friday. Therefore, all services will be offline during the evening of Friday, April 6, while the changeover occurs. We don't have an exact time when the outage will occur, nor can we estimate how long it will take. If things go well, then we could have the system back online within five minutes. If things don't work perfectly, which is more likely because network issues are always complex, it could take much longer. Chris will keep everyone updated through twitter, as that will be the only available communication channel.
Since Chris will be at the datacenter, he will also be installing a new mining server, doubling the number of instances from 4 to 8. On Thursday evening, he will also take mining offline for a brief period to enable the new server. Other services will remain online during that period.
These upgrades will allow the new network configuration and new mining configuration to be finished before Vance starts work on Monday. After all this is done, there should be a reduction in latency by 80ms, significantly increased mining efficiency due to reduced CPU load, and more reliable network connectivity.
Thanks for your patience during these upgrades!
