We've determined the cause of the bfgminer connection issue. For some reason, bfgminer doesn't respond to difficulty 1 shares, but it does respond to difficulty 16 shares. Therefore, we simply changed the work restart testing to use difficulty 16 shares, which shouldn't make much difference in any case but the slowest CPUs.
This fix should be available in about eight hours.
