Good morning!
- CPU usage of the mining servers has increased significantly over the past few days, probably due to the release of equihash mining. Chris is ordering a new server so that we can increase the number of mining servers from four to eight. We expect that server to be online in about two weeks; until then, there may be some periods of increased stale shares due to the CPU overload. I'll work on seeing what can be done in the meantime. We ordered the server with purse.io because of the impending massive crash, so we wanted to get rid of as many coins as possible.
- The Comcast installers were digging around yesterday. We thought that they would finally be installing the lines, but despite telling us that they were going to be there all day yesterday and today, they actually simply dug a hole, filled it in, and left after 30 minutes.
- We released a new version of the mining server yesterday to correct an equihash issue that caused some lost blocks. The issue never affected miner profits, so most miners wouldn't have noticed anything from it.
- Constance's next focus, having resolved most of the issues with the website, including the option to remove the payout proportions sliders, is to improve the site's performance. She'll be trying to reduce the number of redirects today, and then she'll look into upgrading to the latest version of Devexpress's chartJS. The version we use is from 2013 and, therefore, lacks the performance improvements present in some of their more recent releases.
