Everything I need to say today is at

After all the issues from this release are worked out, Chris will be working on one-day payouts.

I still have no problem with the extra day of waiting for payouts if doing so helps save on expenses. If the time working on one day payouts will interfere with other critical updates and fixes I say you just add one day payouts to a "nice to have" list or just make it a consideration that a potential user must take into account before using the ProHashing service. You will have to take extra measures to enure that the payout timeframe is very clear from the start since I have already seen a few posts before about users not completely understanding that fact.

The main reason we originally implemented two day payouts is that we are a pay per share pool - we need to pay customers whether we find blocks or not. The extra day was there so that we can average our found blocks over an extra day; it's less likely that the pool will be unlucky two days in a row as opposed to one. However, over the past year we've been able to build up enough of a reserve to mitigate unlucky days, so the two day delay is less necessary than it has been in the past. The declining value of Litecoin blocks relative to other coins has also helped significantly.
The main reason I want to implement next day payouts is to reduce customer confusion. By far the most common emails I receive from customers regard when they will be paid or a mistaken belief that the payouts didn't execute properly. It seems that the de-facto standard of pools is that payouts will occur automatically the day after mining. Many customers to come to Prohashing assuming that behavior applies here as well and become frustrated or even worse assume the pool is fraudulent when the payouts are not the next day. I could try to make it clearer on the website so that everyone knows what is normal, what I believe is a losing battle, or just make Prohashing's payouts the same as other pools to confirm with customer expectations. I think the latter is a lot easier.
