How are payout calculated?

Post by bking » Sun Feb 04, 2018 12:36 pm

I might have missed the topic on this, if so please point me there.

I've been playing around with earning different coins and was wondering how ProHash determines what to pay out in a specific coin.

For example (not scientific at all):

I mined DOGE (< $1 per coin) for about 12 hours and got 500+ coins for it.
I mined GameCredit (~$2.75 per coin) for about 12 hours and got 2.3xx coins for it.

Is it strictly based on an exchange rate or something else?

How would I be able to look at the coin and go "Based on the price I will be getting about N number per day"?

the pool takes the dollar value of your share of blocks, and converts it into the dollar value of your preferred payout coin, minus pool fees
