"No Valid Shares" after ~4000 accepted shares via GUIMiner @ 950 mh/s

Post by flyslider » Tue Jan 02, 2018 8:53 pm

Hey guys. As the subject states, I've been mining for over 24 hours and my PH dashboard is still displaying "No Valid Shares..." My rate reported through GUIMiner is 950+ mh/s running on my 1070. Password arguments are simply a name for the worker.

Currently GUIMiner is showing Accepted: 1145 (793). This was up to around 2500 (700) before a system restart. With several other smaller sessions <500, I'm of the belief that something should have been reported in the PH dashboard at this point.

I mentioned some of this information on the AJAX chat and it was recommended that I start a support ticket.

What hardware are you using on your rigs? I am not sure that you are getting 950MH from a single 1070 video card.
I believe they get 880 KH...almost a single 1MH on scrypt....and on X11 I think it maybe 20MH.
A single D3 miner does 19GH. 1000X more hashing power.

What password setting are you using for the rig?
You might want to check around, if you are using a single 1070 nvidia video card at 1MH, it may be days until you register a share on the pool at the current difficulty settings.

This is just my gaming PC. ASUS Z-97 PRO Gamer, 16GB ram, EVGA GTX 1070 FTW.

This is just what GUIMiner is reporting: 985.3 Mhash/s. Around 950 on average. I can accept that it might be reporting incorrectly, but at this point it's the hardware I have so I want to see what it can do.

GUIMiner is setup with a name only in the password field, nothing else. I've previously had it set to mine litecoin specifically for a period, but that's not the case now.

GUIMiner is marking shares as Accepted fairly rapidly. It's at 1627 (773) presently, up from 1145 (793) about 33 minutes ago. None have reported as stale since I've begun.

According to this page: https://miningchamp.com/GpuDetails?action=gpu&id=37
And that is listing a 1080 ti...which is a step, if not a step and a half up from the base 1070 model...the 1080 ti hits 37MH on scrypt.
So I am not sure what algo your GUIminer sets to default, or if you need to feed it some -o scrypt parameters, but at the...more likely 30-35 MH on your setup it may take a long time at the initial difficulty before you find a share.

If your program is reporting 985.3 Mhash from a single 1070, then it isnt working on the PH pool on scrypt.
If so, no one would have gone out and paid $2000 for a L3+ miner and power supply when they could have gotten half of a 1070 video card.

Sorry, but the program or the settings it is using are not working correctly.
Your $500 video card does not work better than 2 X $2000 ASIC miner rigs.

Check the version of your program, or try to find a fresh copy, test it on some other pools.
Try litecoinpool see if it will register a hashrate and what their system computes you are hashing at as a test.

Let us know if you find out what it is please.
