Hi all,
Probably many of you might have experienced a problem adding your "Segwit" Litecoin wallet address for payouts on Prohashing. This type of addresses starting with the letter "M", is found among others in Segwit-enabled hardware wallets like "Ledger Nano S" and "Trezor".
Prohashing (and many other pools and exchanges) does not accept LTC addresses starting with "M", but, there is a way around this....
If you want to use a Segwit wallet address directly for payouts on Prohashing, you need to convert your "M" style wallet address into a "3" style address first. You can do this by using this converter to generate your "3" style address: https://litecoin-project.github.io/p2sh-convert/ (see image)
After generating your new "3" style address, copy it, then go to "Settings" in your Prohashing account, and add it as a payout address for Litecoin. Prohashing will now accept it and you'll be able to save it. Problem solved!
