- Progress from Monday is largely unchanged. Development on this round of changes is complete, and testing is underway. We plan to release some or all of the features from Monday's update this weekend. I posted a downtime notice in the "support" forum.
- A large miner connected recently, causing us to orphan our own blocks for some coins with low difficulties. That decreased profitability for everyone by something like 2%. However, when this weekend's changes are released, we won't assign that much hashrate to low-difficulty coins, so this problem will only be present for a few more days.
- The only additional profitability improvements I can envision after these changes are the ability to trade in litecoin-denominated markets, and the ability to merge-mine more than one coin (for scrypt, the benefit of this is minimal, less than 0.01 cents). We'll investigate those after the current system has run for a month without any restarts or mining issues.
