Good morning! Just a few more weeks until we've finished our current commitments and significantly increase our manpower!
  • The plan for this weekend is to execute a release this Saturday. The release will include a switchover of new block publications to WAMP, which will support parallel mining servers but offer no improvement to customers. It will also provide support for the Livecoin exchange, which will replace Novaexchange at the end of the month.
  • While we will not implement it immediately since parallelism is a higher priority, this release also puts in place everything except the user interface for "live block explorers." A day's work will be able to make the block explorers display real-time data about new transacitons, blocks, and network statistics. At some point in the future, we may assign Constance to add support for this, if we can justify the cost of the bandwidth to do it, since bandwidth is our most expensive resource.
  • After the mining server release is confirmed and any bugs are fixed, and after Chris adds all the Livecoin markets, then he will depart for Philly, with the goal of assembling the physical equipment on Tuesday and doing the transportation and setup in the warehouse on Wednesday.
  • The Postgres 10 upgrade looks like it will be more difficult than originally thought, and it may not be able to be completed on Wednesday if he is running behind schedule. If so, he will upgrade later in the week during another period of downtime. Additionally, it looks like Comcast Enterprise has still not replied to us, so there is likely to be a third period of downtime in early December when they do.
  • The Coinbase payout threshold for dollars was raised to $250, from the previous threshold of $50. This threshold, unlike that of other currencies, is non-customizable. Constance is going to be tasked with converting these payouts to use litecoins, and then we'll be able to sell every single day for all customers. She'll also upgrade to the latest version of Coinbase's API, reducing bugs and delays.
