Here's the status as of today:
  • Right now, there seems to be something in the algorithm that causes suboptimal choices to be made in the morning, when there is little activity on the exchanges. In fact, it seems like Cryptsy can go minutes at a time without trades in the early mornings. This issue is in addition to the underreporting of profitability that has occurred recently (but which does not affect customer earnings).
  • We have code that adds a huge number of locks and concurrency fixes in testing now. These issues were never considered earlier in the year during development, and the introduction of these fixes should provide a significant increase in profitability.
  • With the holidays coming up, we will have nine additional days of work that we can use to get multiple exchanges working. In fact, 15 out of 17 days (excluding Christmas and January 2) between 12/20 and 1/4 will be full-time work on this project. By January 5, I expect that we will have multiple exchanges tested and ready for release.
  • Expect a release this weekend to resolve the "suboptimal switching" issue. Hopefully, there won't be deadlocks that show up when the release is published.
