Prohashing Mining Pool Forums

hi, i am wondering how blocks work, i see sometimes i will find blocks but i dont notice any kind of difference on my overall daily earnings, for instance some days i wont find any blocks and make 20 dollars and soe days ill find blocks and still make 20 dollars, do blocks do anything? i9s there any way to know how much i actually got from finding the block? thanks

If you pool mine, the block reward is shared by the pool. If you solo mine, you get the block less a PH fee.

The default is pool mining.

thanks, im brand new to mining, literally just plugged everything in put in the info into my miner and started going, i am sure its pooled since it through prohashing

so do blocks not really do too much then when pooling through prohash? is it better to pool or solo? thanks for the info

Well you will earn what you find if you (want to) solo mine, the chance of a block is not big though unless you have a big/huge amount of hashing power. It is all in the mining lottery and your amount of luck in finding blocks.

Just google some for "calculate the chance of a block"

The chance is a probability but you can be on the bad luck side and it will take 2 time the amount of predicted time or be lucky and find it in 1/4th or half the time.
