Electricity cost

Post by Maciej » Fri Oct 13, 2017 7:44 am

Hi,

I'm trying to configure my Antminer to send the electricity cost in the password field to Prohashing, so in the password field I entered:
p=0.16 w=800

Is that the correct syntax?

That would be correct, but be aware electricty graph really doesn't work. Hopefully at some point it will, but it'll tell you that you're spending pennies a day rather then dollars.

Yes, I saw that according to the graph I sent $0.01 mining for 6 hours. That's why I got confused that maybe the syntax wasn't correct.

Thanks for clearing that up :)

Hi

Despite of this change on the way to calculate electricity cost that was transferred to password arguments a known bug still was not corrected. The bug is that watts are miscalculated you need to put ten times more the wattage to give you the correct values. Lets take a L3+ as an example the real wattage is 800W but in the password value you must multiply that by ten to give you the correct electric consumption so it stays w=8000 and not w=800.
