Good afternoon!
- On Thursday, a change was made that caused some miners with high difficulties to earn less than they should have. I corrected the problem and Chris issued share corrections. Those who were affected received the usual 15% bonus. Static coin miners and low difficulty miners were not affected and therefore were not credited.
- Tonight, a new release will be issued to implement performance improvements to the website. We figured out a way to send out less data on the charts page by only sending what changed since the last update, rather than repeating data for every update. If this fix results in huge savings, then we may announce some upcoming public API changes for miner data as well. The bandwidth (and more importantly, CPU usage) savings should be immense - perhaps as much as 10x. The mining server will need to be restarted for the release.
- Tomorrow, I'll be focusing on adding livecoin.net as an exchange, which will improve profitability and reduce our reliance on the existing exchanges in the case of outages or other problems.
- The announcement of the pool's future has been delayed again, since we are still talking with the lawyer. We now expect to make the announcement in mid-October, and execute whatever is decided by mid-November, about a month later than originally anticipated.
