Here's a brief update:
  • Chris completed everything with Bitcoin Cash yesterday. Everyone's Cash balances are up to date, Cash can be earned, and payouts for both versions of Bitcoin will resume today. Please submit a support ticket if you see something wrong. As a reminder, if you don't enter a Cash payout address before September 1, you will lose all of your Bitcoin Cash money.
  • We are ahead of schedule and may release on Saturday instead of Sunday. The only issue remaining to fully test is the math to confirm that the coin weights are correct and the money being credited is accurate.
  • Saturday's release should fix share calculation performance permanently. The next bottleneck to address will be coin assignment. We will have multiple identical coin-assignment processes running, each tracking the same economics data, and like share insertion processes, they will be interchangeable so that we can spin more up at any time.
  • Right now, coin assignment is slightly degraded to save performance, which causes fast switches at times. The next round of changes will allow us to return to our more complex assignment algorithm, which will be able to handle assignment more accurately because we will be able to buy more servers to compute the assignments.
