Solo mining question

I was reading the help section and ran into what I consider two contradicting statements. Could someone please clarify how to solo mine only litecoin please!

here are the two contradicting statements.:
1) The "c=" parameter must be present to use "m=solo." If c= is not present or if the specified coin does not exist, then this argument will be ignored.

2)m=solo: Mines the most profitable coins, with automatic difficulty using the default settings. Solo mode cannot be used without the "c=" argument and therefore is ignored.

To solo mine litecoin use

"c=litecoin m=solo"

make sure you use the quotes.

Unless you have significant hash power (100s of ghash/sec) you are wasting your time, you will never solve a block.

What hash rate do you have?
