Win 10 64-bit
Tried:
BfgMiner 5.4.2
CgMiner 4.3.5

I cannot get any shares on any pool. Can someone help me with setup?

Code: Select all

--scrypt -S zus:all --set zus:chips=128 --set zus:clock=248 -o stratum+tcp://prohashing.com:3333/#skipcbcheck -u xxxxxx -p "n=worker1" --set zus:ignore_golden_nonce=1

Buy a cheap (second hand) rasberry Pi (v2?), put minera on it, 5 minutes of rtfm and setup, voila!

i prefer the (build-in) cgminer, if you need some additional help with parameters, let me know!

cgminer gives me thousands of hardware errors.
i already tried with a static diff. Does it take a long time for the machine to start hashing? Why does it say "pool 0 is hiding block contents from us"?

I get this after running for a while.

Code: Select all

I think i need a start to finish setup guide lol. Are there certain drivers I should be using? Are my Gridseeds affecting anything? I am at a loss here. I spent money on this thing, and I can't get it to work at all...

You will normally get some stale work because we won't issue work restarts if only a low'value merge-mined coin is stale and the rest of the work is valid.

We actually own Thunder X6s for our own testing (and on Windows 10 x64) so I know they work on this pool. We are using cgminer 3.1.1, which we downloaded from Zeusminer when their site still worked and we haven't upgraded since. The newer versions probably work too, but I haven't tried to use them. I'm also assuming you have the required FTDI drivers installed because you are able to connect to the miner. Our cgminer command line is:

Code: Select all

cgminer.exe -o prohashing.com:3333 -u "chris" -p "d=2048 n=basement" --chips-count 128 --ltc-clk 250 -S //./COM3
where COM3 is the port mapped by the FTDI chip, but your port may vary. Check the device manager to see what port yours is actually on.

This is what I was trying in 3.1.1

Code: Select all

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://prohashing.com:3333 -u dustind900 -p "d=1024 n=dd901" --chips-count 128 --ltc-clk 248 -S //./COM5
As far as drivers I have tried CDM v2.12.26 WHQL Certified from FTDI and SILICON LABS VCP DRIVER. Both got me connected to the miner, but with zero results. I'll try again tomorrow, this thing is pretty noisy and I'm doing all my testing outside of my mining room.

I bought silent fans for €10 a piece. They do not transport as much air as the original fan, but are way more silent.
I also place 2 miners "inline" with 1 (silent) fan sucking out the air from 2 miners.

I think I got it. Had to touch up the wiring. BfgMiner still shows two devices though?
@ Chris Sokolowski what is your average hashrate with your thunder x6?

I am also getting about 20% rejected shares (duplicate share)???

bfgminer --scrypt -S zuesminer:all --set-device zeusminer:clock=248 -o stratum+tcp://prohashing.com:3333 -u x -p " d=512 "

My entire 120 mh comes from these zeus type devices. Some work better at 248 others the magic number is 236, dont ask me why

setting the diff at 512 means you should see plenty of activity.
