Prohashing Mining Pool Forums

I am a testing junky...beta test products constantly and just randomly get an idea and work on it...which leads me to this...

Lately I've been working with a couple mobile miners, testing profitability, hash, etc... I've tried several at this pool and they give me a "Stratum Authorization Failed" error. I use the same credentials as I use on my rentals. I also use the same settings on several other pools with no problem.

Possibly related...my CPU miner on my test laptop has the exact same issue and error, but only here.

I know 99% of everyone would say there's no point or profit in mobile...but I've actually found several conditions where it actually is profitable, slow yes, but faster than I've seen suggested and even with a 24/7 phone and a tablet running, the electricity costs in these situations don't burn the profit.

I'm actually trying to put together a program/app that will use these conditions and situations I've found and auto switch them around on mobile and possibly slow cpu mining.

Anyways, sorry for rambling lol, any help on the error would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. I'd be glad to help. For being unable to connect, the most common cause I've seen regards multiple password arguments. When you are using multiple password arguments, you need to encase the entire password in quotes or else mining software will interpret the arguments as separate command line variables. Try that and let me know if it works.

Tried that on all my mobile miners, but same results except only 1 of them allows more than 1 password definition so hadn't been trying anything except x or blank. The miner I've had best results from other pools shows receiving difficulty adjustment to 4.1k which is what it shows for 4096 which is what my rentals start at when they connect...so its as if its connecting and receiving but can't verify ID? Not sure exactly.

After starting it shows the following...
Prohashing.com:3333
Stratum+Tcp
jkdreaper
x (or blank or all other combinations I've tried for password)
Mining started on 6Threads
No communication with server
Network diff = 4.1k

Another miner shows...
Starting stratum on stratum+tcp://98.115.147.74:3333
Stratum authentication failed
(Goes into a loop of this every 30 seconds)

But I've tried all of them with no password, x, d=, m=solo c=....all with and without " "
