Solo Mining

As I understand this, I have put one of my rigs on solo mode for Litecoin in the pool. I like the fact it still pays merge mining payouts and I get 97% of any blocks found, how many people use the solo mining function? Getting paid the merge mining helps remove some variance while soloing, as I have over 325 MH/s I am throwing at this.
I love the feature! I have tested it out in pps mode and I am also testing the solo mode out for a while too, I think in the average this may give me more as I am loosing less hashrate due to work restarts (I own a KNC titan) doing it the solo way plus I am still getting paid merge mining payouts. I am happy with this!

Welcome to the pool! We have about 10 people currently solo mining various coins. At your hashrate, you would find a Litecoin block about every two weeks, so your variance in payouts will be high.
How long have you mined coins as PPS? We record work restart times and assign you coins that have longer block times if you have a miner with a long restart time, but it may take a few hours to get an accurate measurement of your miner's performance. When using PPS, you can also try the h= password argument to restrict your miner to high difficulty coin networks (e.g. h=50) which tend to have less frequent work restarts. You may find yourself making more money that way than with solo mining.

I will try the h argument, and merry christmas!
I found a block at 5AM christmas day, a few hours after my attempt started, awaiting the coinbase to become spendable!
https://prohashing.com/explorer/Litecoin/1121077/ The diff was around 4x the diff.
As i have two rigs that have already ROIed I am doing half pps half solo. I will calculate both
I do like the merge mining payouts in solo mode though because it means you can at least almost in my case cover the power with that alone.

315 MH/s. Just pulled a 45k share as well this morning.
The first solve was around 150k I think, the second was 450k, I pulled a 45k share which was not a block this morning, this has happened 3 days in a row
Lets pull block 3, so mote it be! <3

I say why not give it a shot! I would say that the merge mining depending on how cheap your power is can offset it a bit if you have already ROIed.

been pointing a nicehash rental at my account, its shown a share of diff: 346052 and ive screenshotted the share that it submitted, submitted at 12:02:14PM pool time, yet its showing no blocks found? did have the solo mining password argument and its showing as solo mining in the console. Has the software glitched?
