I mined Lycancoin and solved around 60 blocks and didn't get credit for them. I see the merged mine coins in my account but no block solved lycancoins.

Hi. Are you mining with m=solo? You won't receive credit for blocks until they are confirmed.

I mined both with pps for 60 blocks and then 40 blocks solo. i should have about 270,000 coins I have only gotten credit for 40,000.

The status for all the blocks I found is indicated as mature in the block explorer. The last block I found was 535234. the last solved block for LYC is now 535399 so that is 165 more blocks, so coins should be all confirmed.

Chris will look into this.

There is a program that runs periodically to credit solo miners' blocks. It's possible that it hasn't run because Chris forgot to configure it to run after the new servers were set up. He'll take a look.

Any progress on this? I know you guys are still celebrating over the fact that Penn state is in the Big Ten Championship game, but I would like to get mining again asap so if you can fix this issue I would appreciate it greatly. BTW I'm a BIG Nittany Lion Fan!

I looked into this today. Our database shows that you mined 81 LYC blocks with PPS and then 17 blocks solo. I determined that the database and our mining server is correct in your payments.

The problem is that November 27 was one of the days that Cryptopia had its Lycancoin wallet offline, so we were using Novaexchange's prices for Lycancoin. For PPS with a c= argument, we have to buy coins continuously for each share (to remove risk of a price spike) and sell any blocks that are found, so you are paid the ratio of the buy and sell prices. Novaexchange is a much lower volume exchange with a high LYC buy price and low LYC sell price, so you only earned 8416 LYC for all your pay-per-share earnings that day compared to 31693 LYC for your solo blocks.

Since this is such a discrepancy and the value of the coins isn't that much, I have credited you at the solo rate for your PPS blocks. For coins with large spreads between the buy and sell prices like Lycancoin, I recommend solo mining instead of PPS in the future.

Thanks for the coins! I was actually trying to mine solo but it took me a while to realize that I needed to include c=lycancoin m=solo in quotes to get my A2 miner to accept the full string. Without the quotes the m=solo was dropped. Also thanks for the added info on how pps works, useful knowledge for the future.

I solo mined Lycancoin again this evening and solved 76 blocks. These show up in my account as found blocks but again I'm not getting the correct number of coins. It looks like I was only credited about half the amount that I should get. Please check.
