Limited thoughts for today (at least until something happens):

1.

I should have foreseen this, but did anyone consider buying dogecoins last week? Here I was, talking about the car and how it was a great marketing tool, but I never made the connection to prices. There's an argument to be made that the price of dogecoins is going to rise after that, especially given that the commentators talked about the car and how he was holding in fourth position for a while.

2.

How long does it take until we officially stay in the "struggling" phase of this bubble, as depicted by /u/moral_agent? When there are drops anymore, they are less and less, and further and further apart.

3.

I should have some good data to begin reporting here about altcoins and prices, now that the webserver, database, daemon installations, and mining server of my pool are feature-complete.

I need a few days for the data to collect before any charts are accurate. However, right now, with 41 coins available, I show $1.89/Mh/day for scrypt mining. That's probably only profitable for people who pay less than $.09/Kwh. Tomorrow, I'll post the expected earnings for SHA-256 mining as well.

4.

What are the odds that this Chinese conference on May 10 is actually held? I wonder if the event is cancelled at the last minute, because everyone who was supposed to speak is pressured by the government to pull out.
