What difficulty values are valid in case of solo DASH mining? When I set any number the pool shows diff=1 in my D3 web-UI. Some values lead to "dead" state of the pool. 512 for example.
And how can I know that the pool "understood" my password options and my miner is mining in solo mode?

prefered difficulty, altough the pool might not accept if you put to low, and will assign a different difficulty, until server side can find optimal difficulty for your rig.

I dont trust server finding optimum diff never did. Thats what nicehash does and you get less.

Well if you put in to low, pool will ignore and assign automated. what the lowest is atm i dont know.

Sorry to add onto the discussion here - but am i correct in assuming solo mining should not yield anything in your live balance until a block is found? I tried mining Linxcoin solo last night for 8hr, using c=linxcoin m=solo, seemed to pick it up, but after hrs the yield was 3 coins worth $0.02 and no blocks on 1Gh/s

You get merged mining shares also when solo mining.

Thank you. Ive recently gotten the hang of it, seems to be going well at the moment.
