All the recent blocks seem to be proof of stake though. Is the orphan rate just going down because everyone stopped proof of work mining it?

Okay guys, BCC will not be coming back to the pool. I can say this with 1000% certainty without talking to any PH representatives. BCC is no longer a POW coin. The last block for POW 262800. It is now POS only.

hi all,
just checked the orphan rates on bitconnect coin and they have gone down now to level seen previously, looks like the attack was not successful.
are we looking at going back to mining bitconnect?

No. They created a hard fork and are now going 100% POS, so the coin is not mineable.

i got email from their side, hope you dont mind to share this info:
As of Blockheight 262,800 on the BCC blockchain, Proof of work mining (PoW) has ended. New coin generation as well as transaction verification on the blockchain will be handled by Proof of Stake (PoS).
You will not be able to mine BitConnectCoin with CPU/GPU and only Stakers will be rewarded.
