@blue it is exactly like it was before, except their calculations were off, you were getting paid 1.5 X what you should have been.
Instead of making $30 like you should have been, the program lied and was paying you $45 a day. The extra $15 a day was an overpayment that should not have happened, they were paying you for work you were not doing. So some miners have been mining for 3 weeks now, getting that extra $15 a day...21 days X 15 = $315. Then they go and complain...ewww you took yesterdays $45. No what they should have done is gone back, and taken it all, or held payments on all solo miners for 3 days until the banks equaled what was overpaid and THEN take back what was overpaid.

And in the end, they returned all the money they took and wrote it all off. So YEAH, people were getting paid more than they earned, and got to keep all of it.

Just expect all the payouts to be junk now, between increases, and market crash of values, and that extra solo bonus you had gone, its back to crap payouts with the rest of us. We can slide down the bench and make a spot for you, come over and sit down.

See my post in the support thread where I explain in detail my perspective, along with my willingness to pay back any coins distributed in error, providing I can get a detailed explanation and a detailed ledger I can show the Australian Tax Office.

This has far greater ramifications to some than they may have realised, this is no longer just a "coin game".

Well I just check my current totals and actually I am actually doing quite well on my current coin of solo mining choice for the last 24 hrs, thanks for your concern anyway.

Thanks for the offer, but we don't want to worry about who is paying back what. Chris reverted the forfeitures and whatever people earned, they earned.

As to ramifications, there should be none on any customers because no payouts were changed. For us, in our estimates for determining whether to proceed or not, our spreadsheet estimates that we average about $1m/yr in losses due to bugs at present, and this is right in line with that total, so it's already factored in.

One of the major reasons to expand is to be able to implement an automated test suite to improve our profits by reducing bugs. Bugs are just part of the cost of doing business like anything else; there will always be bugs, and the goal is to reduce the losses due to them as much as possible.
