We can only prey and hope, that the bugs will never get patched and new batches are bugy again. Iam on scrypt, because i dont
like the hardware-war like sha256 miners and Innocent makes me worry.

I agree with you fugju; the other hardware really doesn't matter beyond the short term. If I was managing Innosilicon, I would continue producing A4s as long as people continue to buy them. Then, when people stopped buying them because they would never make back the initial costs, I would lower the price. People would continue to buy new A4s and difficulties would continue to increase until you couldn't cut the price any more.

OK, so I am forced to move from my A2 to A4 then, right? I will keep an eye on the price and on the current issues on those A4. Hoping future batches are running smoothly.

I would not be surprised to see a new batch of A4s that mine at 400Mhs this Spring. That was there original goal so I bet they are still working on it. If I was a new buyer I think I would wait a bit to see if they come out with a 400Mhs A4

I have 2 a4 in batch 2.

i have change the firmware 1.0.3. now i have approximately 1 to 2 reboot by day (voltage 815, 1200 mh/s diff 4096) with 273 mh/s on average.

For batch 1 & 2 what future correction is planned ?

No you're both right, eventually Inno will drop prices and new A4's will fill the gap left by 1st and 2nd gen hardware, but there'll be a period where uneconomic miners are retired and no new miners are bought because the ROI is so low before the price drop. During that period potential buyers will elect to mine ETH, X11, etc, or not mine at all.

This happened when A2's and other 2nd gen ASICs came into the market and what we saw was a big drop, followed by a small rise and then a very long period of stability as the rate of new 2nd Gen sales fell to almost nothing even though the price dropped significantly. The decision to buy hardware is highly influenced by the price of electricity and like BTC mining I think we're heading into a phase where the economics of home mining scrypt is getting marginal for many.

Fugyu, the A4's are fixed, it requires a firmware upgrade to the B1 and B2 miner's ARM Micro Controller and moving to the 2.0.2 software on the Raspberry Pi. Once that's done, they run perfectly. I'm running mine at 1224Mhz at 805Mv.

BTW: There's already a 400Mhs version of the A4, you just run 3 miner units off 1 raspberry pi, instead of 2 (there's 6 connectors on the Pi), but I doubt you'll see it sold because (officially) it would require an 1800w PSU with 12 x 6pin PCIE connectors.

I herd about a 400Mhs version..So its just 3 of the regular cubes thats fine I have 3 but its a mix of batch 1 and batch 2 so after I get flashed I should be able to put them all on one pi but I really see no benefit to do that.. I like 2 separate pi units so if one miner acts up I can tell which one it is. I just run my two pi units into a wireless network bridge thats out in my garage.. Seems to work fine. But better when I get a flash done

Inno is having a hardware jig to flash the B1 and B2 miners to the current firmware for the STM on the hashing boards sent around to customers to update the miners. Once you flash the boards and upgrade to v2.0.2 the miners seem to run stable. I have mine flashed and running here and so far they are stable. Not hashing at the advertised rated, but they are at least stable now.

I would like to thank Longsnowsm for flashing my cards for me.. I had to be without them for a week but fed ex was slow because of holidays.. I am now finally back up tonight with the new upgrade thanks to Longsnowsm.. THANKS A MILLION!!

I'm glad to see that you finally got everything working.

Does that mean that the broken router was just a theory and didn't actually cause the issue?
