It's been too long since I've read about it. I don't quite remember what exactly happens when you use a UPS without sine wave output with an active PFC power supply, but I think I remember that it can cause the power supply to fail eventually. I don't think that a 1-2 second power outage will harm an L3+ though. They don't even have a power switch. If you want to turn it off, you just shut the power off. If it were me, I would return the one you bought. If you really want a UPS, dog1965's idea of getting a nice used one off ebay, seems like a good idea. Just look for sine wave output, line interactive, sufficient power rating, and a high battery capacity. I really think that just a good surge protector should be enough though.

The one I show in the pic I posted works just fine the gui pic shows the voltage at the wall which is 117v under a 68 percent load when therse no load it goest to 120v. the reason I bought it is for the same reasons were discussing protecting the miners which it dows very well its an older model so the switch over time is quick I dont have an oscilloscope to measure the exact time it take to switch over. every time my wife turns on the toaster or the 1700 watt microwave including all the other applainces in the house she trips the main 50 amp breaker. "Still love her though lol".

This cause a very quick switch time which does not effect my S9 but causes my L3+ to restart automatically. if it were the newer 3000 watt model it would not have any switch over time. she constantly keep tripping the main nreaker.

I had this setup 4 three years with her doing that and everything is fine even when I bought new miners never had a problem I run it on a sub breaker by itself. 8 gauge extebsioin cords. industry grade 20 amp outlets!!! because I am a fire preventive freak!!!!

anyway 68/100*3000=2040 watt draw on the wall "remember 3000 watt unit not 1500 watt". current draw =2040/117=17.43589743589744 A.C AMPS!

tested it with power meters on the wall and 2040 watts were measured also the current came out correcy as well 17.45 amps.

love this UPS tells me if my miners are loading up right. "running right".

Alright I actually got a full refund from Amazon all they asked was to donate the "non-refundable item"

First time I ever heard such a thing, my Bitmain PSU came in the mail just waiting for the L3!

You cannot ship this UPS on a plane due to its acid lead batteries hehe. Can anybody please take a snap or something of their miner with the backup pool so I know exactly how it should look like.

I tried setting up nicehash aswell but it stopped hashing for prohash which is why i deleted it after it stopped working:)

Thanks again for the help everybody
