Tonight, Chris issued a new release. We're pleased to announce that we figured out a way to make usernames case-insensitive with minimal CPU impact.
Now, the case the username is provided to the mining server is irrelevant. Our hope is that this change further reduces the number of support tickets with unusual connection issues that are difficult to debug.

And you checked that no 2 usernames used the same lowercased letters?
No usernames Bobby and BOBBY to link over to one another after the fix and mess up both accounts or improperly give credits take profits.
