Doing it right? :)

Post by CjMapope » Thu Jan 29, 2015 12:45 pm

Hi i am just wondering if someone can tell me if im "doing this right"? I have had a miner pointed at Prohashing.com:3333 , username same as login, pass blank. I am mining at roughly 20Mh/s just testing it out but 30 mins later still showing no activity on my profile? Am i under the min rate to show up? :P and can i have multiple miners from different pcs all just using my username?
another note is that the "Help" option states "Prohashing.com" with a capital while the other documentation on the profile states "prohashing.com" withOUT a capital, does that matter ?

EDIT: i am also collecting shares, seem to have about 30 but i can't find record of them on the site anywhere :(... hmmmm

I think may be a configuration issue with your miner. I connected my miner to your account "CjMapope" and I see shares showing up in your account. The capitalization of the site name should not make a difference. You can also connect as many miners as you want to one account; there is no limitation.

What software and what configuration are you using for the miner? Is it possible that the miners are mining on another pool instead of Prohashing?

Let me know what you find out and I can try to help you more.

yes i see the shares showing up as of ten minutes ago now. I had both my Cpu and my GPU both mining at same time on same pc maybe that caused the conflict? the PC runs an i5-4100, and basic GUIMiner . i will monitor further, but seems to be working now :)

UPDATE: an hour later, my miner shows 30 shares, all accepted, last one 3:51, but the site says last was an hour ago, at 2:50, is that normal, does it just take a while to update them? i havent touched the miner over this period
UPDATE 2 : my miner shows 46 accepted shares as of 4:42, but my "earnings" tab still shows last at 2:50, nothing has changed on my miner, does it just take a while to show up? i have np if so, i can give it time to normalize thats no prob :)

I don't think that your miners are connected to this pool. I don't see any shares since I connected my miner to your account. I think you may want to look at your configuration file for your mining software. Try removing all backup pools except Prohashing and then see if you get shares submitted.
