Hey I have 4 l3+ and what GGH said is correct 131072 is the best diff when the pool is functioning correctly however lately the pool is having issues with efficiency so I have been running vardiff and getting better avg efficiency still around 92% for the worst I've seen sometimes 100%.
let me stress this, these problems are due to something being wrong with the pool in days past 131072 was gravy, no less than 98% ever and similar results with anything from 32768 all the way till 131072.
All that said for now vardiff is the best despite it bumping you 500k efficiencies overall are not what they used to be tell steve and chris to fix the broken pool then that may change until then... good luck

I have about 95% efficiency ... but around 160 stale shares in a few hours.
I'm currently running on d=131072

i have efficency 97-98% with auto diff/vardiff on my L3+ machines. and 20 stale... with diff 131k i had 90% efficency..and 60-100 stale..

I tried d=65535 and the efficiency is at 100% with no rejected shares have been recorded recently.
Let's try during 24h to confirm the results

sunds good to me. this all depends on the pool currently as @aricee23 was saying, theres some issues with performance and stale shares. in a perfect PH world, 131k is the goal diff.. but when its underperforming, you make have found the sweetspot
