What is the easiest way to get Bitcoin Cash Wallet?
What is the easiest way to get the Bitcoin Cash Wallet? Do I need to use my entire Bitcoin Core blockchain? to get it caught up or what? I don't understand these hard forks. Do i need to download a whole new -qt file, and blockchain or is the new blockchain much smaller? or what?
I already have multiple copies of my wallet file saved in diff places so not concerned about that part? Just wanna know how to keep both up and running safely without messing up the other.
Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

Get Electrum Cash. It's a SPV wallet so doesn't need full Bitcoin Cash blockchain. Then sweep your BTC private keys in which will transfer your Bitcoin Cash from your old BTC addresses and transaction (that still exist on the forked blockchain) into your new Bitcoin Cash wallet.

This is not the easiest way... But if you don't want to mess around with a totally different style walletGAWminer27 wrote:I have the full Bitcoin Core...already...so that isn't a problem...how do i change to the new fork?
1. Send all BTC in BitcoinCore to a fresh secure wallet elsewhere - android or iPhone - this is just temporary.
2. Download and install BitcoinABC
3. Go to %AppData%
4. Make a new folder here called BitcoinABC
5. Copy the entire folders and files inside %AppData%/Bitcoin to your newly created BitcoinABC folder - including wallet.dat
6. Open up a command prompt
7. cd to wherever you installed the BitcoinABC executable
8. Run bitcoin-qt - - datadir=C:/Users/you/AppData/Roaming/BitcoinABC - - reindex
This will take few hours probably overnight even on a fast pcie disk. It will reindex your chain, connect to new BCH peers and then when it's done you should have the same balance in BCH.
IT'S very important to use the datadir flag to point to the data directoryof BCH whenever you use BITCOINABC. By default it is going to look at where your bitcoin core wallet is. You dont want that overwritten by accident
9. Delete your wallet dat on %AppData%/Bitcoin
10. Close BITCOINABC and start BitcoinCore
11. You now have new BTC wallet and new priv keys do beware of trying to re use old addresses that were associated with your old wallet
12. Send all your BTC you stored elsewhere back to Bitcoin Core new wallet
13. Backup your private keys of both wallets on paper and keep safe
