Hi,
i've noticed that any static difficulty >8 for x11 seems to get ignored (falls back to dynamic difficulty).
Is it correct that 8 is the maximum x11 difficulty?

Mainly nicehash renting. Anywhere between 10 - 50 GHs.
With the new release this weekend, when submitting too many shares your workers shares get ignored, so being able to increase the difficulty makes sense.
