Static diff not working
Since the attacks I have not been able to set a static diff. Every time I connect it goes straight to 8,192 (dynamic).

What static diff are you trying to use, and which algorithm are you mining?

Re: Static diff not working
the static diff minimums were raised a few days before DDosing, if youre using x11 Minimum is 0.016 and im not sure what scrypt is. cant remember the math to convert it. steve will tell you
Re: Static diff not working
On scrypt I have been successful with d=1024, d=2048, d=16384, d=32768, d=65536, and d=131072 for 48 hours.
Edit: but not working when i try to do c=coin m=solo also. c=coin and m=solo works alone, but not with d=

Re: Static diff not working
Ah, that's a good point. I will ask Chris to lower them.
But even so, 1024 is above the minimum of 512.

If the coin is low difficulty and you try too high, the system will override it, to lower it..

Re: Static diff not working
I'm mining scrypt with a gridseed. 1024 will not do. I need to set it at 512 which does not work.
This blows because the price of scrypt is up and I haven't been able to mine here since the attack.

Re: Static diff not working
go dynamic and give it time, it will eventually hit the most profitable diff
Re: Static diff not working
did you say 1 gridseed? like 1 Orb? that is 377kh/s base, you should try to use simple c= arguements at that level. like c=iloveyoucoin. the other coins may be out of your difficulty rangedustind900 wrote:I'm mining scrypt with a gridseed. 1024 will not do. Re: Static diff not working
Gridseed blades will do 1024, although best is 512 or 768
