When configuring cgminer what i use when i input a password?

You can use anything or leave it blank. If you need to do further customization, you can use password arguments https://prohashing.com/help.html#tuning-passwordargs

I have it running, it shows stratum from pool 0 detected new block. But i look at my earning and it doesn't show that its working or any indications

Also, am i mining everything and i just get paid through my payout proportions?

Simple question - are you mining the scrypt algorithm or another algorithm? The Prohashing pool only supports the scrypt algorithm.

This is what i use
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://prohashing.com:3333 -u "xx1cyb3rgh05txx1" -p 12345678
